Mission Statement
In response to what we have experienced in Christ, the San Diego State Newman Center is called to empower and challenge young adults to become the people God created them to be. We strive to do this through events and programs that:
- Nurture the spiritual growth of students: we want to provide an environment that fosters prayer and daily spiritual conversations through retreats, liturgy, small communities, and the sacraments.
- Engage students in service to the wider community: we will promote service to the wider community, (our campus, community, nation, and world) by providing a small weekly event and a large semester event.
- Spread the light of Christ throughout the campus: to bring the light of Christ on campus, the Newman Center will: promote ourselves, participate in campus events, participate with other communities and have on-campus faith events.
- Promote fellowship and supportive Christian relationships: We want to promote fellowship and supportive relationships by providing fun, social activities.
